Carnivale!

For Wordless Wednesday I thought I would share a taste of Movie World's Carnivale, a nightly themed street show inspired by the best of New Orlean's Mardi Gras and Rio's Carnivale. With live jazz, performers, a parade, and an amazing menu, you are guaranteed a fantastic night!

Hot Sauce is available at every stand, as it should be.

Proper Jambalaya. I know it's proper because I lived in New Orleans in a former life.

Smokey ribs, Orleans Dog, Jambalaya and Stuffed Jalapenos. The food on offer is surprisingly authentic.

Seafood Chowder, the star of the show! (Don't tell Bugs)

 Gumbo, ya ya!

Po Boys come with shrimp, chicken or fried green tomatoes.

 Fish and Shrimp Fry

Po Boys!

Pulled Pork Roll, with perfect coleslaw.

Spicy tender boneless wings.

Jalapenos Chilies stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Deliciously spicy, it's hard to stop at one.

What is a street parade without a beverage? There are plenty of mock tails and cocktails to sooth your taste buds.

Seafood Boil! Very authentic. Corn, potatoes, prawns, mussels and pipis boiled in a Cajun spice mix and served directly onto a newspaper covered bench.  Served with Cajun napalm on the side. Bibs are optional.

Pie a la Mode! Pecan or Key Lime, take your pick. (or pick both)

This is not a sponsored post. Mr BC and I attended a media preview of Movie Worlds Carnivale, as guests of Movie World on the Gold Coast. All words, photos and enthusiasm are, as usual, my own. Joining to Wordless Wednesday today!
