Packing for Problogger

This week has been super busy. As you read this I will be out clothes shopping, which is not actually the most enjoyable thing in the world for me. In case you hadn't noticed this isn't exactly a style blog. I mean, I like to feel like I look half way decent or even a little bit smart on occasion, but I do not pay a lot (alright, hardly any) attention to this. I like to 'rock my own style' if that means being comfortable and not embarrassed. BUT. Next week is Problogger and for the first time ever I am GOING TO A BLOG CONFERENCE! Which is both SUPER EXCITING! and MILDLY TERRIFYING! and WHAT ON EARTH DO I WEAR! not quite panic attack inducing but a concern none the less. So, as a blogger, I turned to blog land to figure that question out, and it turns out the answer is 'clothes'.

Suger Coat It says to be polished and represent your brand in it's best light with a print, a great skirt combination, and a stylish spring dress. Which are all excellent ideas. And if I meet you there please remember that my brand is actually 'House of Chaos'.

Styling You wrote last year that her favourite conference wear is jeans, top, jacket, statement shoes/boots, a scarf, and at least 1 statement cocktail ring. Apart from the ring (I'm more of an arm party girl) she is describing my current wardrobe - very promising!

As well as two conference days I will need attire for two evenings (including one themed tropical) and on the Sunday I am doing an organised Style Tour of the Gold Coast, with a visit to a fashion market, a designer and finishing with High Tea at Versace. So that will need at least three outfits alone. Pray for me.

So far I have bought a skirt, a new pair of jeans, a fresh white T shirt, & some new sandals to complement my existing blazers, heels and accessories. Today I am out shopping for a white linen button down shirt, maybe some more shoes and a nice tote, and possibly another T shirt. I have no idea what to wear to a tropical evening but I am thinking that the pineapple I picked up at the Farmers Market won't do; maybe a kaftan-y type dress/top with sequins? Yikes. Something to think about while I am getting my hair done.

Are you going to the Problogger Training Event on the Gold Coast this year? Come and say hi! (I may or may not be wearing a pineapple)
