Day 8 Blog every Day in May Challenge - A piece of advice you have for others.
Well, today is the 13th of May and I am catching up on this challenge from the 8th, so it's kind of ironic that the advice I have is Seize the Day. It's true, I haven't been seizing the day to blog; I have however seized the day to rest and ward off a cold, enjoy Mothers Day, and read the first two Stig Larsson books. (which I loved, but gee those Swedish drink a helluva lot of coffee. No wonder they are up till all hours)
I have lots of advice to impart, you may care to read about it in such posts as
Laundry, an Expert by Neccesity; or learn from our rookie mistakes in
Bathroom Renovation. In real life I try not to give advice unless it is specifically asked of me - there is nothing worse than some know it all wheezing on about what other people should be doing with their lives.
Irritating.
Of course, this is a blog, so all bets are off.
A piece of advice I wish someone had told me while I was still a child is to seize the day. Carpe diem if you must, I don't speak Latin.
Don't wait for the perfect moment, it will never happen.
Don't wait for a forgone conclusion before you lift a finger, just get on with it.
The time is NOW.
Do nothing today and see what doesn't happen tomorrow.
Use what you have, do what you can, start now.
They all say the same thing - stop procrastinating, get off your arse, stop talking, dreaming, wishing the energy away.....Just Do It Now.
Or in the words of the great Salvador Dali.....
What advice do you have?
