Day 9 Blog Every Day in May Challenge - a moment in your day.
Because I am catching up on this challenge, I am
bending the rules a little pretending to be a time lord and showing you a moment from Day 12. Come with me into the future!
Mothers Day Breakfast
I had been warding off the onset of a cold, and had spent the day previously in bed. I felt rumpled and frumpy and blah. Clearly I am not wearing a bra.
I did NOT get the sleep in I wanted.
Monkey Boy had made some lovely hand print art and fridge magnet, which was presented to me at school. The Gentleman had made me a
beautiful card, mum! but it was left at school. The school this year decided that instead of a Mother's Day stall there would be a morning tea instead, which was delightful but meant that there where no presents to open. I didn't care because a few days earlier I had bought myself a ticket to
Problogger and besides, Teenage daughter is quite the artist, and made me a card that everyone drew on and signed.
Mr BC made his signature pancakes and the dog jumped up to
join the festivities try her luck with the pancakes. There where no flowers.
I loved this moment, and I'm so glad that Mr BC captured it. THIS is the moment that makes being a mum the best thing in the world. Who cares about presents or bra's or flowers, or naughty Labradors - this moment, with my gorgeous children, is Mother's Day, and every day. In this moment, I feel like the luckiest mum in the world.
