One day months ago, I attended a local blogger brainstorm session, and after we had discussed and solved all sorts of blog related issues, the discussion turned to the lack of blogger events and opportunities available to Brisbane Bloggers, compared to larger citys (looking at you, Sydney and Melbourne!) Straight away, a seed was planted, one that has flourished and grown over the last few months to become a proper business - Blog Power Events.
Blog Power Events has been formed by Rachel of Redcliffe Style, Cate of Life Behind The Purple Door, and myself - we make a great team, if I say so myself, and I consider myself lucky to be in such amazing company. We are so excited about this, and are not even thinking too hard about sponsors yet - this is for bloggers by bloggers, who love blogging.
We know that when bloggers meet up, there is lots of laughter, fun, networking, inspiration, instagramming, tweeting, and fresh ideas flying around. We love to attend them, and we would like to attend more of them, so we are being the change we want to see! We hope to provide a regular calendar of events for the Brisbane Blogosphere to enjoy.
