Mr BC & I met and fell in love in Sydney's inner west, where we where spoilt for choice in the way of delicatessens. We cheerfully ate our way through several suburbs worth on a regular basis. This was made all the more convivial by the fact that Mr BC looks very much like his Italian great grandfather, so every deli visit started with the proprietor wanting to chat Mr BC up in proper wog fashion, wanting to know who his family was and what village he was from. Olives by the 5 kg jar? Meats & cheeses beyond measure? Curious looking packets of foreign objects to discover? Freshly baked bread still warm from the oven? We didn't know how good we had it. Deli's can be a bit thin on the ground in Brisbane, so we where overjoyed to find that there was a proper, honest to god deli less than 30 minutes from our house! All the Chaos children have inherited the love of deli food, and Mr BC is very happy to pass his knowledge on down the line.
